I did get the package. Thank you so much!!!!! I LOVE the coloring book and pencils! Made me get a huge grin on my face and giggle a bit. The candy was awesome too!!! and well just everything in it was perfect! Thank you!!! My comp and I are very grateful for the Salsa and Apple Jelly!!! I have to eat the Jelly on corn chips though... kinda different but it's still good! It's always good to hear from you and get updated on the fam. Thanks!
Well... this week has been crazy busy which is really good. We go out everyday and to tracting for at least 1-2 hours and then visit some less actives and part-member families. It was neat because we have an elderly sister in our ward with severe Parkinson's disease, so we went over and read from the Book of Mormon with her and she was talking to us (really neat because she doesn't talk much at all) and her care taker joined in (she isn't a member). The Spirit was so strong. We're going to try to go read to her once a week or every other week. So Jackie is back from Greece and had a great time. Her husband watched an Anti-Mormon movie and isn't for the church and was really turned off BUT he still supports Jackie in learning more with us. We are meeting with her tomorrow to go over some things that he shared with her and resolve questions and concerns. She is still planning on going to church this Sunday and she is still reading the Book of Mormon so that's good. I don't know if I shared with you before but we are also teaching a man named Bob... he will take some time and will go through quite a few missionaries before he is ready for baptism. He wants to come closer to Christ and to be able to let go of his past and be healed completely.... BUT that will take some time.... see the thing is, he was in jail in Texas for 13 years for murder. And he doesn't feel bad that he did it and he would do it again. (The person he killed raped and killed his girlfriend) so well... that's a problem and he struggles with drinking and smoking but does want to stop. He is a really sweet man, and really has desire.... just needs to learn to forgive and to let go. We also had an amazing lesson with Dorothy's (recent convert)neighbor. It's so amazing what a difference it makes when members introduce you to their friends/family/neighbors..... They let us right in and we shared the Book of Mormon with them and they were really excited to read and pray about it. Dorothy is amazing!!! She has such a strong testimony! She was hard core Baptist when the missionaries started teaching her and wow, her conversion story is just awesome. Easter was great. We had great church services and then had a delicious dinner with Bishop's family, and 2 other families. It was really sweet because Bishops wife made a special plate for me because I can't have gluten. it meant so much that she took the time because I could have just picked off what I couldn't eat. The ward members here really do take care of us like family. Sister Muller and I get along great. We have a lot of fun together.
I hope the weather gets better and warmer for ya'll! They say it'll be a hot summer here so I'm not looking to forward to that... because when it's hot it is HOT! Well I'm going to get going! Got lots to do! Love ya'll so much!!!
as Kevin says, God Bless. :) and much alohas!

Yeah, last week things were a bit crazy... I went on exchange with Sister Graves (the first pic) It was pretty rough we get along great but we both have been super sick. so we called the office and come to find out we both have symptoms to be gluten intolerant!!!! AH! I'm telling you my health is such junk here.... so the office wants us to start eatting that way... which means veggies and fruits and plain meat cuz even bbq sauce has gluten in it. lol. oh well, I wanted to be healthier right? So it'll be interesting. I'm hoping that it isn't the case cuz well I wouldn't mind to have a taco once in awhile when i get back or some pizza ya know? we will see... the good news is that I'll be able to eat Mexican food because they use a lot of corn!!! :) yes! So anyway then we had an emergency exchange because my old comp sister T punched her new comp. yup.... it's pretty crazy. but we got things worked out and things should be better with them. Sister Muller and I get along great still and are really excited for the work we are going to do in the ward and this area. We want to have as much fun as possible because we are both pretty sure that one of us will be transferred to Sister T's new comp.... she is a tough one to deal with. so we're going to love each other and this time more than ever! It's been pretty rainy and cloudy here lately. Hopefully the weather gets a bit better here too. That's exciting that Kirst will be home for Easter! You'll have to send me some pics of everyone! Oh and tell Sarah Happy Birthday for me!!!! :) I hope her ankle gets feeling better and that Justin spoils her rotten!!!! Jackie should be getting back to Hawaii this week so we should start seeing her again. I'm super excited! Dustin is in Kentucky with his Step-dad for this week so we won't be seeing him. He is pretty solid though. :) We are hoping to start teaching his mom soon too... fingers crossed! We've also been very busy visiting part member families so the work is picking up which is awesome! Well I'm going to get going! Love you tonz!

Mandy and Sister Muller

Yuck... I'm glad I'm not home right now for the winter!!!!! hopefully it'll warm up soon! So I know you are probably wondering why I am emailing on Wed instead of Mon.... We are taking our P-Day today cuz Sister Muller (my new comp) had training on Monday. She is a Sister Trainer. She is also from Germany!!! It's pretty been way fun so far. A lot less stressful. :) Sounds like Ryan did have some fun on the date! Ha, I can't wait to see pictures! Well....It's been a crazy week. Rebecca (our recent convert) had to head back to the mainland cuz her mom only has weeks to live :( (cancer) so keep her and her family in your prayers please. Her husband gets deployed to Iraq the end of May and I dont' think she'll be back to see him before he leaves. She's going through a really tough time. I got a package from Ray last week! :) YAY! He sent me some earrings and a bracelet made out of this rock that can only be found in Chili and Afganistan. It's pretty cool and I love them and he made me a card as well. :) He knows me all too well. Things are still going great between us. So me and sister muller have had actually some way nice things happen last week while we were tracting... First right at the end of our tracting we ended up talking to this guy named Mike. Super nice... not really interested BUT he was BBQing some chicken and fixed us up a plate and gave us some powerade before we left. It was SO good!!! then the next day we stopped by a less active members house... he wasn't home BUT his neighbors were having a BBQ party so we went and started talking to them and sure enough they fed us some delicious food as well! ha. It was pretty nice cuz we didn't have a dinner that night so it turned out perfect. The other day we almost got another BBQ (no worries it's not our goal to hunt them down... it just happens! :)) but I can't have too much meat lately... my stomache still has issues but we talked to this guy named Jeff and will be seeing him again... He was really interested in learning more so I'll let you know what happens there. Anyway... it's been a good week so far. Me and Sister Muller get along great! Hope your ankles are healing and you all are doing great!!! LOVE YOU!

Hey!!!!
On Wednesday we went got to go to the Temple... it was wonderful! It was so nice to be able to do a session and.... somehow Terri "happened" to be in the session as well. It was so good to have her there. I needed it bad. So I'll attach some pictures we took. I think I mentioned last time about our new investigator Dustin... well he is awesome and has a baptism date for April 23rd!!! We are really excited. He watched Conference with us on Sunday at a members house.... which is big cuz conference starts at 6am here! :( UG. Jackie is in Greece with her husband now and wont be back til April 18th... we went and saw her Tuesday and helped her get her house ready and I gave her a pedicure while we watched Mountain of the Lord. It was good.... if she can just get over the Word Of Wisdom issues she has... ug... no worries we'll help her understand and gain a testimony of it. How did you like Conference?! I thought it was SO GOOD! I really liked the talk on desires... it's so true. Well We got transfer news I am staying and Sister Teururu is being transferred. So I'm excited to see who my new comp will be. Hopefully someone that will work hard but be laid back. Oh so Rebecca got married on April 1st. and it was so fun. I was able to do her hair and makeup for it and attend. It was awesome. She is just glowing and I just love her to death. She is so caring and loving. I told her to add me on facebook already. lol. Well.... my stomache is doing a bit better. the Meds suck but it's helping. I am learning what i can and can't eat which sucks cuz pretty much if i like it, I can't eat it. but oh well. Hum... I dont' remember much, this week has just been a busy one. But I love you and miss ya'll choke. and Hope everything goes well with you! Much Aloha,

March 28, 2011

Alrighty mom,.... first off to answer your questions, I am serving in Waipiolani (Mililani area) the weather has been crazy, raining and cloudy mostly but always 70-80 degrees so I can't complain. It's starting to be sunny more... I'm on a "treatment" for my stomach, I don't' know if you remember a few years ago when I was having problems and I was on meds... anyway it's the same ones and the side effects aren't as bad as last time but are still hard to handle at times. I keep telling myself... just 9 more days and I'll be good. Transfers are April 6, we'll know whats going on the Sunday before so I'll keep you posted. My comp got extended so she won't be going home til May 13th. And yes I got your package.... it took so long cuz they accidentally sent it to Elder Brough instead. lol. man oh man. But thank you so much for the dried fruit and the acne gel!!!! It's already done miracles! :) Ha, I can't wait to see Grandma and Grandpa playing with Copper, I'm so glad they are enjoying him!!!! So I've become really good friends with this Visitor Center Sister, her Name is Amanda Graves, (she goes by Mandy too) lol. And she is from Utah so we are planning on hooking up after the mission. She just goes home a month before me. hopefully we'll be comps one of these days. Oh how did Grandpas party go!!!! I hope you told him Happy Birthday from me!!! and gave him a big hug!
Well things are going good here. Rebecca got baptized on Saturday and she is just glowing and as happy as can be! The service was so perfect too! I love it! She is getting married on Friday too and signed up to feed us so we could go and be a part of it. We have plans on getting together too, we've become very close. Jackie is doing great she is leaving for Greece Tuesday to meet up with her husband, so we won't see her til mid April. I hope everything goes well while she is gone! We have a new investigator, Dustin. He wants to get baptized right away but we're worried he is getting baptized for the wrong reasons... we will see. He meet with him tomorrow so we'll be able to get a better feel for him. I finally got a letter from Ray! It was so nice to hear from him. He is doing great and still just working as hard as ever! Well tell everyone Hi and I love them!!!! Talk to you next week!
Much Aloha

March 21, 2011

I haven't gotten any package yet. But I should get it this week. I'm so jealous that they are doing a 4 day school week now. That would've been AWESOME for me!!! Wait... I probably went to school only 4 days a week anyway. lol. Well Things are good here. It's been a crazy week. Our ward had a Filipino Night and it was a lot of fun. Joy (investigator) came and had a really good time. We went on exchanges so I was in New Town for a day. It's always fun to be able to go to another area. Jackie is doing great! She is getting ready to go to Greece to meet her husband there for 15 days! I hope she still will read and pray and everything while she is gone! We are going to get her a military Book of Mormon so she can give it to her husband. and Rebecca is going to be baptized this Sat! She is so stoked! I just love our investigators here! They are so awesome! Finding more people to teach is still a struggle here but we were able to find a family... they are strong members of the Church of Christ (englesis ni cristo) and have lots of questions but want us to answer using the Bible.... I'm not very learned in the Bible yet but they are way nice and we'll be seeing them again next week so that's good. And next year I can be home and help Dad with tax season so he can get some rest and take care of himself!!!!! I'm excited to hear how Ryan does in his meet! Tell I'm GOOD LUCK from me! Well I don't have lots of time so I will talk to you later! LOVE YOU!
