Hey Mom! Sounds like you've had a very very busy week. What is that Children's Book we have about Christs Birth? We are in charge of sharing that story at our Aliamanu Christmas party. If you have any ideas that would make it more fun let me know. We only have about 10 min. So Tues-Thursday the Mission President took all the missionaries (90) on Ohau out of our areas to go through some training from 8am-3pm. It was awesome! We were worried about our area while we were gone but the lord blessed us and since the training we've felt a lot different and our lessons are much more powerful. We had an amazing lesson with Vincent Talenoa's family. He is doing great and told us how this week has been much better for him and he's been happier and he knows it because he went to church. Bishop and another member were there. Later Bishop went and bought Vincent 2 white shirts and ties. :). It was so good. We went on Thursday to visit the Hoffmans. I've talked about them earlier. They aren't investigators yet and it's so funny to me cuz I'm so close to that family. lol. Shawn Hoffman(dad) calls us on base whenever we have appts and need to get on. So they've helped us to teach, but hadn't started teaching them... yet. Thurs night we went over to introduce Sister Hauata to them and we talked about the temple open house and yup we have an appt with them Sunday to teach!!! :) We are so excited. I absolutely LOVE this family. :) Friday we got 2 referrals and saturday found out that they are in our District Leaders area and we are so sad. One is Katrina and Jason, We taught them and they were excited to learn more. Jason is a very less active member and Katrina was raised Catholic. They went to the temple and loved about families forever and the spirit they felt. They will have hurdles though, they live together, and have a little problem with the word of wisdom. But it will be good. we have an appt with them next week with the Elders to transition them over to them. And the other referral is this amazing family the Johnsons. Matt (dad) is in the Navy. both him and his wife were born and raised Catholic but he has lost his faith due to some things in his past. They have 3 kids. and the lesson was amazing! The wife (Sandra) was so surprised and excited to hear that we were coming. Her husband hadn't been interested in going to church or anything until now. She has strong faith in God. We are really sad to give them to the Elders too.... :( But it'll be good. We have an appt with them next as well with the Elders. Oh Sat we got this random call from a guy named Kurtis, me and Sister Stadler street contacted him awhile back and he wasn't interested but took our pass along card. He is going through a hard time and saw our card and called us. so we went over and talked about Christ and his love for us. He is about 50-60 years old and an amazing musician! he writes his own music and it is all about Christ. Seriously if he had a CD I would buy it! He wont set an appt with us though, just said if we have free time and feel like we should see him to call and come by. so we'll see. Sunday was amazing! Sam our 12 year old investigator whose mom won't let her get baptized,... well she usually comes to church with the Rudoloph family but they are on the mainland anyway, we saw her at church with the Redd family and she went up and bore her testimony!!! It was amazing we found out later that she called 5 families to see about getting a ride to church, and finally called the Redds and they went and got her! I thought it was amazing! Well Andrews work schedule got all crazy, we were about to meet with him this week but he is now gone on a sub for 3 weeks, then he'll be back for 2-3 days gone again for a couple weeks and back for a few days then deployed for 6 months... so pray for him that he will continue to read the Book of Mormon and pray. Dora is doing great! Things are good :) Thank you for all your support and prayers! LOVE YOU ALL and MISS YOU ALL!
Love
Sister Brough
